Battery-powered irrigation controller praised for eliminating the need for AC power. Customers said it's "easy to use" and "working nicely" with long-lasting batteries. Most found setup straightforward. Some noted compatibility issues with existing valves. One customer reported the unit not working. Generally reliable for landscape irrigation.

I like because does not need to connect to main power it runs on batteries
Works good. Replaced a four zone with this six zone. Just left zones 5 and 6 empty. Maybe add more sometime.
Expensive but it’s working nicely. I bought it last minute when mine stopped working. Happy.
This item is not working for me I don’t know something wrong?
These controllers are easy to use it’s perfect for landscape irrigation .
I have lost count of the number of these I have purchased, the ability not to have to bother with wires is worth the cost in itself and the batteries last.
If I had kept this unit I would have had to replace all the valves unit not compatible with my existing system.
It took care of our needs
Working well. Used to replace old unit.
I thought mine was broke but I just didn't know how to set them so my old one was working fine so I return the new one very good product they work great
These sprinkler heads are a wonder. I took the farm off the grid and converted the irrigation system to low pressure. These sprinklers throw the water just as far as the high pressure ones but at 20 psi vs 60 psi. This allowed the use of inexpensive poly pipe instead of pvc for new zones and a small dc pump and solar array to power it. I'm using the Hunter xc hybrid 12 station battery controller and dc latching solenoids in standard hunter valve bodies. The controller works just like the standard wired set up but sends pulses to the solenoids once to open and once to close instead of continuous power like the grid wired set up. I highly recommend these for efficiency whether off grid or not.
This unit works very well and is easy to set up and use. I bought another one 5 years ago that has been reliable. One 9V battery takes it through 4 months of watering (and likely longer). Make sure that you use the right solenoids.
Perfect product if you need a station where you don't have power to. I installed upon receipt and it's been working great.
I bought this to replace the broken one that was already installed in my garden(ants built a massive nest inside). Pretty easy to replace few wires and batteries And it works well
So far so good, picked up the orbit dc solenoid and a spliced them into the hunter unit, works great so far!
Works just as advertised. Saved me a lot of headache by not requiring I bring new electrical circuits out of the house.
Works good.
Very nice! Meets my needs for a timer that will work in an area where there is no AC power.
Very easy to install and even easier to program. LOVE the battery operation, eliminating the need to run AC power to the unit.
