Customers praise this sprinkler valve for its excellent quality, affordability, and easy installation. "Perfect fitment" and compatibility with older models allows quick repairs by swapping top components without cutting pipes. Customers report reliability over many years with no leaks. Minor concerns include one valve failing after a month and occasional need for additional fittings.

Perfect for what I needed and kept me from having to buy a whole new manifold
Great Product! Great Value!
My water kept running even though the system was turned off. My water bill was over 300 thats why I looked for a leaking water source. I bought this valve, the price was excellent and it goods great. Perfect fitment. Installation was 30 minutes. Good quality. Replaced the solenoid and diagram. No leaks no problems. I highly recommend this simple solution.
I purchased this to replace my very old hunter valve that I believe is about 20 years old. I didn't know if I was going to have to redo the connections or if I could just simply remove the 4 bolts on top "actuator part" and connect that to my existing main housing. I was happy to learn I didn't have to cut my old connections but simply bolt the new actuator piece to existing valve and it works perfect. Thank you hunter for not changing your design so this can work. I have had it working perfectly for several days with no issues. By the way, this is my only valve failure in 20 some years which tells me these hunter products are very reliable.
When turning on lawn irrigation system, one zone would not function. After some quick on line searching isolated the problem to a malfunctioning solenoid on the sprinkler valve for this zone. This part fit was exactly like the original. The big advantage to using this for the repair is that I did not have to remove the old assembly completely which meant I didn't have to dig up the pipes connecting to the valve assembly. Simply removed the top part (which has the solenoid) and then put in the top part of the new assembly (with the valve and solenoid). The installation was simple and straightforward. Checked after install and no leaking. The price of this entire assembly with the valve and solenoid was less than some other places for either the valve or solenoid by themselves. Will purchase another as a spare in case another zone fails with same problem.
They work good did have to buy more fittings
DIYers need two in their tool box
Works as it should!
These are great valves and almost impossible to find Hunter valves at my local Home Depot or Lowe’s. Amazon is my go to for these products!
Perfect. Just what we needed!
Incredibly affordable and good quality. No leaks and preserved pressure well.
Definitely REM
Perfect fit
I installed 18 of these valves in 2015 to service a 2-acre property with extensive drip systems. They have performed exceptionally well.Thankfully, I had the foresight to install the valves using a manifold system. There are several on the market; I chose Action Machine brand. I also use a two-wire automotive waterproof connector for each solenoid, which makes replacement a breeze. With all of this, I can swap out any valve in about two to three minutes and keep the system working. When using these types of valves on drip systems, the solenoids take a beating. They're often energized for 6 hours or more. Along with the low waterflow of a drip system, the solenoids will succumb to heat after a few years. And the valve diaphram eventually will break down, especially in our Arizona heat. So, being able to swap out a valve quickly is a blessing. I can then rebuild the old valve (if economical to do so), or recycle it.Overall, great quality, reliability, and easy to maintain.
Worked great - had a slow leak issue, and swapping the solenoid and valve parts into my existing valve did the job.
It works well as expected. Please make sure the voltage is right, i.e. 24v. Not related but need to consider installation details if replacing the entire unit, i.e. irrigation tube diameter and connections.
I was extremely pleased to find the exact product I needed for my sprinkler issue. Item matched my system and worked perfectly!
Son de excelente calidad
I ordered two units and onlly needed the top solenoid and diapram assembly. It easily fit onto my existing valves from 2016 without having to change the in-ground piping. The screws are stainless steel and the wire was very long. Nicely done!
Buy this part enabled me to fix my irrigation system myself, saving me tons of money on labor.
These Hunter valves are great products and they're at affordable price, good quality, ease of install and no leakage
The items were not what I needed for my job, thank you.
rely on hunter valves. better than the big box store stuff
Easy install
Works great
This is an exact replacement OEM part perfect. Great price.Worked great
Part arrived on time and works fine.
I didn’t replace entire valve because I didn’t want to cut the pipe, so I just unscrewed 4 screws and replaced the actual valve pieces, then splice the wires. Total install time about 15 minutes.
Just used to swap guts of an existing Hunter valve that went bad. 4 screws and done...
I always loved hunter prifucts
I used the top parts from this unit to fix a broken valve top and it was an exact match for a twelve-year-old valve.
HACK - I don’t bother changing the base just transfer the solenoid from the new by unscrewing the 4 screws and transferring the solenoid, mount, and filter/gasket to the existing base.TEST - Before changing a valve, purchase a water pressure gauge to determine delivery pressure. These little solenoids can take quite a bit of inlet pressure, but like all mechanical solenoids they use springs which weaken over years. It wasn’t until my second zone failed to shut off that I measured the pressure -130 lbs (teed directly from the county feed before my home regulator). They couldn’t handle the pressure and would spontaneously open or fail to close. If you see a LOT of misting at the heads, that can be a sign of excess pressure. Misting allows water to be misdirected by wind and potentially lost.FIX - I added a regulator and back-siphon valve and the system works fine now. I figured my regulator will save on water since the 70psi spray patterns are covering better (as designed).
