This is a great buy. Simple to install, swap from the old unit, and to run. The wifi modular, however is a pain to connect. I ended up returning it.

This was a replacement for a 20+ year old controller that was out of production. Technology has changed a lot so reprogramming muscle memory was painful. It is an excellent controller, it just speaks a different language than old generation controllers, which is appropriate.

This unit works better than the base model. It tracks the weather in your area for rain and will turn it off if it's rained too much and adds time if you get to little rain. Its easy to operate from the app and I am running 2 different houses for lawns on the app which is nice. Easy to change settings it's a game changer imo. A good buy 11

Perfect replacement. Sprinkler company quoted $600 to $700 to install. 3 screws on the wall and rewired 7 zones for less than $100. Do it yourself is the way to go.

Arrived promptly, easy to self install, and works great for 4 zones. Accepted the WiFi Wand after 3 tries, once i disconnected my hearing aids to connect Wand via Bluetooth.Reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is because it is replacing an identical unit that failed connecting to WIFi after 5 years. Looked problem up on Hunter and board failures in 3-5 years in hot AZ, TX, etc. Summers is common.
My old Hunter Irrigation controller was dying. Two of the six stations had already failed. I bought this as a replacement, and it fit right in, easy to hook up, including my old rain sensor, and I was up and running. That part was great.The "but" part of this review is that WiFi control is not built in. It is a rather expensive option to add. Wifi modules are dime a dozen these days with things like Arduino $3 processors with built in Wifi. The "wand" as they call it is over $100, and had I know that before I bought it, I might have picked something else that included WiFi. It's a great controller, I am just disappointed that Wifi is such an expensive option.

Good Sprinkler Controller for my 3-zone, smaller system. Its voltage range works for my valves. I could purchase a wifi connectivtiy adapter, which feels nice, although I don't need it. Seems Durable, and the Display is of good quality. The system was a good value and easy to set up.

Waited a while to see if this controller did its job.So far, no issues with scheduled irrigation.I think for the price there should have been a key lock included, and the WiFi insert is as much as the unit, it could also be a little more affordable.
This is my second Hunter sprinkler controller and it is very user friendly. They added a light so you can easily read the LED screen. I chose not to do Wi Fi as we were concerned we would not get a strong signal.
As a homeowner, this unit is easy to use and is very reliable. Weather reports, yearly logs of watering, advanced notices of program changes for weather related events are great. The rain sensor (separate purchase) is really good also. However, the current APP version has several usability bugs that forced me to NOT upgrade on my iPhone, as I like it as it is.Other than that, I really recommend this unit.
Worked as advertised! No issues with set up. One interesting quirk is that the app will show that it is not connected to the internet. However, when I check the devices connected it shows up. My assumption is that it is not connected to the vendor website. However, this usually self corrects in an hour or so.
I went from a Hunter ProC to this model and it was an easy install. Happy to have my system working again after weeks of a dead screen on my ProC and a failed attempt to replace the capacitors on the ProC control panel.
Got this to replace my old one it was almost identical since the other one made it 20 years. Thats not too bad. I would say it was a good value for my money so I’d recommend it, sense it worked great and reliable.
This irrigation controller is solidly built, has a nice display, was easy to install, and has a pretty good feature set. However, it is missing some basic easy to use features such as the ability to pick a set of 2 or more zones to run manually (in sequence). Note that it is very easy to select and run 1 zone manually, but that is all that you can select at one time.

I bought this to replace an older (15 years) Hunter controller. Pros: Easy to install, and like the seasonal adustment (%) feature. Cons: Back-up battery is not user replaceable. No need to make it that way except to sell more controllers. Overall works well.
Nice unit but little pricey with the wifi module included.My controller is about 75ft from Wifi radio and a couple sheetrock walls. Seems to be ok.APP is ok. Does what you need.From what I read you need to program the main controller with a default schedule for when the Wifi or Internet is down it will resort back to the main controller.I did add a Meross Wifi AC remote plug so in the event the unit locks up or I need to remotely restart the unit to acquire the Wifi signal I can.
Disappointed it doesn’t have changeable battery, good for 5 years then what? Don’t see the Wand as a solution. But I should have taken more time looking. Got it operational, seems fine, but with rare use of settings, will always need to use instructions to operate. Seems heavy duty with robust wire terminals. A couple controls such as P/MV and Sensor bypass or on don’t say why they are there or which way sensor switch should be set.
