Everything is good except confusing info on the box and description. This model NODE-100 is not compatible with solar. If you are looking solar compatible then go with NODE-BT.I will update review after some time of work. It's in the desert below ground level.Installation is easy, even didn't check manual yet, maybe later for additional features, right now it's in test mode.Looks durable, covered by rubber.Connectivity is fully done, you don't need to do anything except install batteries.Value is ok in my view, will see after one year.
Very compact and convenient with a long battery life.
Works great, perfect solution when your old wired system has breaks in the controller wires and locating the break just isn't worth the hassle or you are installing a new zone and the logistics of getting it wired are to complicated. I'd have given it 5 stars but the programing is a bit cumbersome in my opinion
Hard to setup and edit the times in my opinion. Very expensive compared to other brands. I have 4 of these. They take a while to change the settings so dont be in a hurry.
Whoever did this a bad review let me tell you ; is really easy to program and to the ones that says valve was split in 2; that doesn't have anyting to do with the timer blaming the timer for the poor job your plumber did ; you should blame yourself for calling unlicensed plumber ; i may agree for the pricing but because is really realiable i will say is worth it
Yes it works. But can you get it to work with all the many features ?Having a slot for 2, 9v batteries is a huge advantage. But at almost double the price of competitors like Orbit it is poor valve.It is difficult to program. I do lots of irrigation work and have programmed many timers over the years. This is the worst to program or adjust. The display is dim,the display icons indistinct and tiny. The Instructions are printed small, in feint type and trying to use them outside in sun/wind is very difficult. I gave up and brought the 2 units inside to my bench to program. Even then it is a lengthy ,tedious and frustrating process. God forbid you need to change the program !!The clip should be designed as a clamp for 3/4" pipe. It isn't so hanging this often requires it's own wood post !Hunter is supposed to be a Pro brand. But in this case the homeowner Orbit item is much more 'professional'.Oh and a Pro tip - the battery 'cup' fills with water if not perfectly sealed .Probably destroying it. Mr.Hunter, the 'cup' should be redesigned with external threads, not internal to prevent this. The fix is to drill a drain hole in the bottom of the battery cup - and invalidate your warranty !It is a potentially great product with a few practical modifications by Hunter. Awaiting that upgrade, I suggest a mechanical timer or any of the much simper/easier/cheaper timers here on Amazon.
