A wireless rain sensor praised for easy installation, working perfectly to prevent overwatering during rainfall. Customers said it "connects easily" and "operates flawlessly." However, many noted frustration with non-replaceable batteries requiring full unit replacement after 4-5 years. Some found sensor adjustment challenging in humid climates.

Not sure if it’s working tried to test and sprinklers did not turn off.
Very well made Hunter Rain Clik WRCLIK Wireless Rain Sensor. Easy to install. Looks great!
Perfect replacement
Connected easily works perfectly
The install was a piece of cake. I attached the irrigation control on a fence post and ran the wire to our controller. It works as advertised. It looks like it's already had a positive impact on my irrigation cost as our sprinklers don't run if it just rained. Should have installed this a year ago when we installed our lawn and irrigation system.
Order was handled effciently with a product of good quality received on time
Easy to install and wire. 10 min if you work slow.
Wired as designed. Need the WAND to go with it to and program the Hunter X2 through Hydrawize app. The complete system works great.
Worked as advertised
This rain sensor was easy to install and works great! I took it down for the winter with the irrigation system off, but don't dread putting it back up on the gutter when we start the system up in the spring.
Works fairly well. Easy install. Just have to figure out where to run the cable to. If you do set it up in an area where it gets Sun then it will definitely dry out very quickly and activate the sprinklers but it's a lot better than having nothing. It definitely paid for itself over one season. It also stood up to Hurricane Helene and has been on the house for three seasons including a couple of very cold Winters and has continued to work just fine.
Prevents overwatering and soil erosion by deactivating sprinkler during heavy rain fall.Easy to install and test.Operates flawlessly
Once installed properly it works ok. Please be sure to follow the instructions exactly as written. I had to watch videos and call the company after my install was not working. Everything was correct but the issue is the processor in the control head. It is very slow and not smart. When you make a change it takes a few moments to accept and reconfigure itself. Once I gave it a few minutes it accepted the wiring and sensor input. Had to perform the checks several times to get it to work. Once was accepted it works ok. Finally, there are no instructions as to how to adjust the drying gate on the sensor for your area. Once the operation is clear in your head you will have to play with it, letting it get wet and drying out to adjust the drying times to get it to work. Also it will not work when running the system on “Manual.” It has to be auto turned on by the controller to work. As this is the only option I would buy it again.
Very easy to install on a Hunter Pro-C controller. Simple swap of the receiver, and the transmitter is already paired to it. The gutter mount is already included, so no need to order that if attaching to a gutter. The standard wall/roof mount is also included. The gutter mount is very nice and easy to use.
I have had two wireless rain sensors fail because you can not replace the battery. So I bought this on. A lot cheaper and once I got the wire run it works great and there should not ever be a reason to replace it. I hope. I did not hang from the gutter. I put a post in the ground and mounted the sensor on that. It’s five feet from the house and four feet off the ground, so no ladder needed.
Excellent quality, easy install, works flawlessly!
Everything you need to hook up to Hunter irrigation timeclock. works great
Good
The suppliers gave me detailed instructions to hook it up. So far so good.
This product was easy to switch out with my existing one.
Works with my Hunter sprinkler controller. Easy to connect, and has plenty of wire so I could get it up and clip it to my gutter.
Works as advertised but instructions do not account for an updated Hunter Pro-C controller. The older controllers would have the two Rainclik wires connected to the two sensor terminals. On the NEW Pro-C, the wires connect to SEN-2 and COM. You would either have to search elsewhere for that or connect by trial and error. You can tell if your Pro-C is a newer one by noting the absence of the Bypass Switch. There is a button instead. Otherwise, the unit performs as expected.
Stops water waste.
While I attached the sensor to the roof, I had my irrigation guy attach the wires to the control box. Took him 2 minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and I would have done it but he was there anyway. It inhibited my irrigation system after a good rain.
Opens circuit when it rains so sprinkler won't operate for a couple days while the internal absorbent disks dry and shrink - thus closing switch again so normal watering continues.Bracket easily mounted on bottom of rafter end to extend out past bottom of rain gutter, so I didn't have to mount on gutter. I ran wire between small gap in roof deck at rafter junction. Or a small hole can be drilled if controller is inside garage like mine.
It works great with my hunter irrigation system & it’s pretty inconspicuous near the house! Love that I can set my water times and forget it! When rain comes a cute little umbrella pops up and it says off if the ground has been sufficiently watered! Saves on water! Great feat!
Just confirmed yesterday. Heavy rain in the morning prevented turn on that evening at 10:00 PM.
Easy install and the rain sensor and receiver come already paired. Note: this is a complete kit that includes the sensor bracket for mounting on gutter. No need to purchase separate bracket.Easy to wire into the controller and mounting was simple. System worked great until we had a heavy Colorado hail storm (in June -- crazy weather!). So much quarter-inch hail it looked like an inch or more of snow on the ground. It beat the plants to H-E-double-toothpicks and, unfortunately, the wireless rain sensor as well. This failure may be a corner case, but Colorado does get a fair amount of hail (just say'in). I'll give it the benefit of the doubt this first time.I'm replacing the kit with same and will give it another try. Didn't seem fair to claim it as a warranty replacement since it was a bad storm. BUT, if it fails again in the near future, I'll look for a different solution with the knowledge this wireless rain sensor isn't robust enough for this climate.
Installed on hunter pro line C controller. Would turn of when it rained. Reinstalled using diagram for generic 24 volt system . Kinda worked. Will interrupt system if manually activated but if left to dry out normally ,in Southwest Florida daily humidity, it doesn't dry out enough to restart watering, UNLESS It doesn't rain for a week. By then the yard is parched and dry out. Need a better design for hot humid places in Florida during rainy season.
Sensor arrived in good condition earlier than expected. I was replacing an old sensor and the installation was fairly simple. Successfully tested the sensor after installation, so now all we need is some rain. The seller was available for tech support if needed and followed up with me to make sure all was well.
I stead That the hunter controller was not working properly I found the problem and corrected it the Sencer is now working fine
