I purchased a WSSSEN for my Hunter X-core controller from the Sprinkler Supply Store 10 years ago. The sensor worked well during its entire 10-year lifetime. The sensor is supposed to be replaced every 10 years, so I purchased an identical sensor through Amazon. Amazon offered the best price and a trusted distributor (Sprinkler Supply Store). I have installed the new sensor, and everything is working well. I am expecting to have 10 more years of good service from this new sensor.
Great price! The hook up is easy and works fine so far.
Bought this kit to replace the original receiver and transmitter. Installation of both items was easy since they were replacing originals. Syncing of the 2 was seamless. The real test would be when we had our first rain, and that came a couple of weeks later. Worked as it should have.
It didn't matter in my case because it was a replacement part, but be advised that all items pictured (extender and mount) were not included in the package.
Easy to install. Good replacement for original. Good price.
Exactly the same as the solar sync it replaced. No muss/no fuss - Synced up with my controller easily and quickly.
Installed into my existing Hunter irrigation controller. I have it a few months now and I see a real big difference in my water bills. works very well, and was easy to install.
Seems to work well. It definitely changes the setting on my sprinkler controller. Will know better about its performance once I get an entire season of experience with it. My yard maintenance guy is a bit sceptical about it, but so far has taken a wait and see approach.
I was skeptical of this but after installing it, pretty nice. Works like it’s supposed to and I don’t worry about over or under watering. Takes a little bit of time to calibrate it for your own scenario but very easy.
Easy to install. Would give it 5 stars but am still monitoring its operation. Seems to be working as described, so, far.
This was easy to install into my existing Hunter irrigation controller. It has been in operation for nearly a month and has performed flawlessly.
Impressed with ease of installation (used guidance ) from YouTube. Have been very satisfied with working properly especially since we had several rainy days this past month in which the system would turn off and on automatically depending on outside conditions. Was especially happy since this was purchased at a much lower price due to previously opened box.
I'm going to give this 4 stars seems I only had it installed for a month or so. So far it has worked very well. I had the wired model and went through 2 sensors before a full refund. Wireless is definitely the way to go and worth the extra couple bucks.
Now after having this product a few months in happy to report it works Great! It has saved me not only money but the hassle of hav8to worry if I've watered too much or too little. I mounted to a tree about 150 ft or so from the receiver and have had no issues. Worth the cost. Highly recommended!
Works perfect and is saving us money on water.
Excelente.
Great effective water conservation add-on. It will set back the set times for each station depending on recent moisture and temperature conditions. For instance a week after we received 6" of rain, the controller indicated that the sprinkler times would run at 56% of the settings. During that week we had warm dry days and the soil was dry near the surface. Of course after a rain, the Solar Sync will prevent watering until the controller senses that evaporation has occurred. We received 50% rebate for the cost of the Solar Syncs from the City for adding the devices to our 5 , I-Core controllers.
works as advertised
Came in box new worked as directed. Easy set up took 15 minutes at most and has my yard watered not soaked
After using the builder supplied Hunter I-core system and the Solar Sync add-on a couple months now, I think there are better options out there. This feels like 1990s software. Time to re-engineer Hunter.
Does exactly what is supposed to and conforms to local code
Receiver unit installed into my Hunter Sprinkler XC600i X-Core 6-Station Indoor Controller Timer 6 Zone with no problems. Just two wires to connect with a screwdriver.Transmitter was easy to install off of a rain gutter.NOTE: Install the Receiver FIRST, then check/verify the pairing before climbing up on a ladder and installing the transmitter.
Easy to install and works as expected. Excellent addition to postpone watering when it rains.
I think this is worth paying a little more than the freeze-clik. The wireless sensor is a good option to minimize wiring, and can easily be brought inside when the system is winterized to protect it. This will pay for itself with just a few water bills/saves a lot of water and was very easy to install after viewing videos on the Hunter Industries website. I see irrigation running when it rains and during freezing and this will prevent it. The seasonal adjustment was a little tricky - make sure you locate your sensor in the sunniest part of your lawn for it to work properly. If you locate it in a shady area it drops the seasonal adjustment too low, meaning not enough water for your lawn/plants.
No more automatic watering when it rains. Love it and was easy to use and install
I have the Solar Sync connected wirelessly at a distance of about 30' to a Hunter Sprinkler XC600i X-Core 6-Station Indoor Controller Timer 6 Zone. I adjusted the Solar Sync Setting to 4 5 for the Phoenix, AZ extreme heat and low humidity. That gives an a summer seasonal adjustment of 80-90%. The max temperature has been about 115F. The few times it rained the irrigation was shut off correctly for a day. I recommended to my landscape architect that he quote this unit with every job that uses an XC600i.Update: 5 months later the unit is still working fine and the winter seasonal adjustment runs between 20 and 30%.
