Works perfectly and delivered the next day.
Needed to replace sensor that squirrels ate and to complete circuit to use sprinkler syatem
Works well
Thank You! Super!!!
Good brand. Good product. Easy to install.
I pick this product because of the price i pay compared to other places. since installed I have no issues with it, work as advertised..
Replaced a wireless sensor (sealed battery dead) with this on a Hunter X-Core. Easy to install and works just fine. I did find out that you cannot test the sensor in manual one zone mode. You must test in Manual ALL or Automatic mode. Just a little confusing as the instructions just say to turn on one zone of the system you can see and press the button, and they should turn off. This makes it sound like manual one zone would work, and it does not as this mode bypasses the sensor.
The seller was easy to work with and delivery was fast. However, the sensor did not function. I returned it with no problem and a new one is expected today. The first one did not shut down the system when the top of the sensor was pressed down. In checking for continuity at the wires, it continued even when the top was pressed. The switch (click) didn’t work. Also, the ad incorrectly stated that a battery was needed.
It's working
Works as intended
excellent
Great device. I have one for front yard, but a recent fence replacement lost the backyard one. They work great and avoid the necessity of turning off system when it rains.
Exact replacement for my sensor that wore out after 10 years
Great
I have not tried this yet, just got it. It came in just one of those padded bags, no box no paperwork no instructions. I think it must have been a returned item or a defective item. It may very well work just fine. I'll try to update this item later.
Easy set up
Easy install, made with non corrosive materials.Comes with a good amount of wire.
This unit is well built and easy to install. Good instructions to follow.
Delivered on time and works perfect
Perfect replacement and easy to install.
Perfect replacement for the original rain sensor that broke.
This is the exact replacement for my Hunter sprinkler system. Works great! It shut the system down first time it rained.
Ours was easy to get to so saved the service call
For everyone complaining about the instructions… you can hook this up a few ways. If your timer has a sen or sen2 input, one side goes to that, other goes to your common terminal. Then, depending on your timer, you have to program it via the app or whatever… If you don’t have any sensor inputs, wire your common wire through the sensor. Common terminal to one leg of your sensor, common wire (from your valves) to the other leg on the sensor.
With rainy season coming I knew I didn't want to try and remember when to turn my system on or off so I decided to make a small investment and purchase the Hunter Mini-Clik sensor. I couldn't be happier! It was super easy to install and it worked right away. I wasn't comfortable putting it on my roof line so I put a 1"x3" treated pine board in the ground next to the system and mounted it about 5' from the ground. Voila!
works good. I would like to adjust the moisture sensitivity . some days we only get a quick sprinkle of rain, but it is enough to override the sensor. but not enough for the yard to skip a the cycle
I liked the simplicity of the installatulion process. I simply replaced my exsisting sensor with a new one, easy. First rain, it shut off the system for 24 hrs. then resumed normal operation. It even shut off the system when it started to rain in yhe middle of the sprinkler cycle. Great investment, saves water, and those nasty comments from those neighbors making fun or your sprinkler running during a rain storm.
The product is excellent and does a fantastic job of disabling the controller after a rain. However, had it not been for watching a video on line on the subject of installation, I would have missed a very key piece of information. While installation instructions tell you to attach the leads to the controller 'SEN' terminals, no where does it say to remove the jumper between the two terminals. If the jumper is not removed, the sensor is inoperable. This information should be made clear in the installation instructions.
I tried a similar Rainbird with no success. Its switch contacts are the reverse of what the Rachio wants. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong but it turned out the miniclik is the one to get if you have a Rachio. Not saying it's the only one that would work, but this model does work if it's the one you want.
